Why hello there my friends.. My next post is about What I ate… On Tuesday 😀
I often get asked questions about what I eat.. Whether it be for breakfast, lunch, dinner or of course snacks?! Truth be told, I don’t count calories of macros or anything! I workout a lot, so I know I have to eat a lot, I also love my food, so eat when I’m hungry and of course I always TRY to choose the healthier options.
Majority of what I buy when food shopping is raw wholefoods so I don’t often eat ready made foods, I’ll try and prepare my food from scratch. I try and steer clear of processed carbs, sugars and fats and stick to more natural foods. However, it should be noted that this is what works for me, this is not what I recommend for everyone! 😀
**WARNING** Tuesday’s are my busy days, so don’t expect pretty pictures ;-P
Breakfast No. 1 (Yes you heard right, I have two “breakfasts”): Green Detox Smoothie
Green Smoothie as above, recipe is as per my previous post on Detoxes, so by all means help yourself and give it a go! 🙂 I try and start my day when I first wake up with a green smoothie, it helps to kick-start my metabolism with whole healthy foods. This in turn reduces bloody sugar spikes throughout the day!
Breakfast No. 2: Low Fat, High Protein Greek Yoghurt, topped with Homemade Granola and Fruit
Snack No. 1: Chocolate Peanut Butter Cake
Now this was courtesy of my friend! 🙂 It was just as delicious as it looks and nowhere near as bad for you as it sounds! 🙂 WINNER WINNER!
Lunch: Brown Rice with Tuna, Sweetcorn, Cucumber, Avocado, Carrot and a smidge of Cheddar Cheese ;-P
Dinner: Poached Salmon with Steamed Broccoli and Roasted Veggies
All this writing about food is making me hungry so I’m off for some tea! 😀
